Anthony Parker Is All Business

14 01 2011

You would be hard-pressed to find a professional athlete these days who doesn’t have some sort of business venture. Athletes are savvier than ever, with social media and management firms dedicated to spreading their brand. Where they invest their time and I money can touch many different industries, but it seems like restaurants and clothing are the two likeliest areas of concentration.

I got in touch with ESPN.com’s The Life section to begin exploring athletes’ business investments. I hope this will become a regular column; nobody ever knows how much of a future we writers have. For this first installment, I described Anthony Parker’s involvement in a shoe and apparel company which I bet few people can recognize. At 35 years old, Parker has his eye on what he’ll do after his career. I’ll let you read on to find out what this company is, and why he chose to invest in it.
