Inside The NBA and Kevin Love’s playground battles

2 12 2010

It’s being called the most compelling meaningless game in NBA history. Heat at Cavs, LeBron back in his former home arena. Ticket demand for tonight’s game at Quicken Loans Arena must be absurd. The game’s so in-demand that TNT decided to send its Inside The NBA crew to the game for pre- and post-game analysis. They don’t pull that move often during the regular season, so what better time to give a behind the scene’s look at the show? I got it here:

I shift from TNT to KLove. Kevin Love is lighting up the NBA this season by averaging a league-high 14.9 rebounds, which pairs nicely with his 18.6 points-per-game average. His rebounding prowess has gained fans’ and the media’s attention, though. He has four 20-plus rebound games, including a 31-‘board effort — with 31 points — Nov. 12 against those glorious New York Knickerbockers. I asked him how he developed his rebounding ability for the When I Knew… section in ESPN Magazine, out tomorrow (Friday, Dec. 2).
