Swim tips from an Olympian

Swimming reminds me of weight lifting…it’s a fantastic workout but not every person who performs it does it the correct way. Furthermore, there is a group of folks who’ve never swam, either from a fear of water or simply a result of them never learning proper swim technique. For this WeightWatchers.com article, I spoke with three-time Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines for tips on the proper techniques of different swim strokes. I also talked with sports dietitian Rikki Keen about the best foods to eat pre- and post-swim in order to maximize its physical benefits. I hope you enjoy it and can put some of the tips to use.
