Mikhail Prokhorov taking over a sports team is good for everybody — sports fans, sports media and companies which manufacture strobe lights (because he has to install them in his suite). To get a feel for how Prokhorov would fare initially as the New Jersey Nets owner and to discuss whether Brooklyn could be grounds for success for the Nets whenever they move there, I spoke with sports economic expert Robert Boland.

We also touched on the Golden State Warriors’ ownership situation, why the northwestern part of the U.S. is important to the NBA and what Boland really thinks of Michael Jordan, the businessman. (Not much.)
